After a career working around the world as a currency derivatives and energy options trader, Mike followed his true passion. Beer.
In 1996, Mike built The Chelsea Brewing Company, New York City’s largest, last remaining, and most award winning, craft brewery and restaurant.
Mike also studied wines of the world under the tutorship of the great instructor Kevin Zraly and Master Sommelier Andrea Immer at Windows on The World. Mike has extensive experience in brewing beer and the distillation, and aging of spirits and is always happy to answer any questions one may have regarding these processes.
Mike recently completed the highly regarded WSET Level 3 in Wines & Spirits, passing this intense course with distinction. Always looking to continue and enhance his knowledge of the industry, Mike recently attained a pass with distinction in the very rare WSET Level 3 Study in Japanese Sake. Mike has worked at Big Daddy’s for over seventeen years as a retail wine, spirits, and beer specialist.
